A year that brought us false hopes

An undeniable ROLLER COASTER RIDE

A year taking away from us our plans

We bid you a HAPPY HAPPY FAREWELL

If there are happy times; there have to be sad times too

And hell yeahh we have that clearly in front of us

We had all sort of ups and downs and also the power to brave them. We had vanishing days and weeks and months and now finally a year.

CHEERS TO ALL THE BROADENED MIND AND TUMMIES THAT WE HAVE AT THE END OF THE YEAR.

The world just stopped with nothing in our hands.

The delayed breath to the sure footed death; the world just stopped.

You brought us CORONA ; You brought us RACISM ; Your brought us THE NEVER MEANT SMILE ; You brought it in a violent style ; You brought us HERE ; We still had to BARE ; You NEVER TRIED and made STUPID LIES ; What if we would have skipped you like the intro of a series? At least we could continue our normal lives!

We had to isolate ourselves from our loved ones. We could not make out to any place for the Fatal disease waiting for us out there. Initial days brought pleasure and made us feel alive when online meetings were undoubtedly attended in a smart coat with a tie but the invisible underclothes were the rescuer.

The year raising questions on Mental health and well-being more than ever before and taking so many lives along is the year 2020. The year that started with a bang yet the virus named COVID-19 is the year 2020. The websites crashing like never before and the year that made us a Tech Wiz is the year 2020. The year that still could not stop the global warriors is the year 2020. The year that kept us all home is the year 2020. The year that made us realize our worth is the year 2020. The year that made the oceans clearer and made the air more breathable is the year 2020. The year affecting over 82 million people directly is the year. The year that brought the never happening crash in the global market is the year 2020.

You were able to MASK just our faces but not our HORIZONS

We are happy to bid you farewell. MAY YOU JUST GO AND FADE AWAY. YOU DID NOT BRING US HAPPINESS AT ALL.

You maybe were strong but we are stronger and I elongate my wishes to all those who managed to come out and survive till here. Situations were never in our control and kept on worsening but we are here facing you and bidding you a GREAT HAPPY FAREWELL

To the year 2021 : (without your permission) we have high hopes from you and we don’t expect at least you to break them. We are longing to go out; see to it. We want to quit this war; see to it. 2020 has gave us permanent scars; heal them.

Even if you don’t, we still welcome you to this world.

Cheers to all the ONLINE CLASSES ; SILENT CRIES ; MEMORABLE LAUGHTERS ; IRREPAREABLE LOSS ; NEVER DONE STUDIES ; NEVER DONE WORK ; STRONG WIFI CONNECTION ; NETFLIX AND AMAZON PRIME MEMBERSHIP ; NO NEW THINGS ; NOT MEETING FRIENDS ; SLEEPING IN CLASSES ; BECOMING MASTERCHEFS ; MOST FLEXIBLE BODY ; ZOOM MEETINGS ; VIDEO CALLS ; UNREALISED DISTANCE and THE MASKED FACES.

To these last moments of 2020 ; you were rude yet flaunting ; happy yet sad ; sweet yet notorious ; bubbly yet rigid ; vague yet nice ; adamant yet approved ; futile yet okay-ish ; in vain yet detrimental ; rich yet poor. You maybe were the worst of every year but the things that you did could not be done by any else year. You gave us an impetus to drive through an amazing journey called the phases of life. Take a deep loooooong breath and appreciate what you had and did. Pretty last few minutes for you to live. Thanks for all the good and bad you did to me and everyone else. A new chapter of our lives is about to start.

I wish to everyone the beginning of 2021 to be as amazing as you are!

To the inner teenager in me,

I will tell you a revenge story
Between ME and the ME
Which took me from laughter to pain
In the end , what do I gain?

I wonder the dark hues
Till those pretty blues
All that I seek
Has that all turned Greek?

I wish to see all of that clearly
That limitless candle light
And shining stars at night
Am I even over here right?

Failure is a success designing my mind
Never would I know how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far
Did it left a permanent scar?

The mystery of life just took a turn
It was time to revenge , I took none
The hunt became hunter , I had fun
At that time , have had I run?

The inner me turned into everything
I appreciated the desire
But did not even taste that fire
Why did it not become my happiness multiplier?

I chose the right clock , but the wrong time
The right script but the wrong line
The right poem but the wrong rhyme
All that I used to express , was that all even mine?

From the bottomless grounds
To the lunatic sounds
The world just stopped

From the profused heaven
To the ages seven
The world just stopped

From the unborn layers
To the endured prayers
The world just stopped

From the sleepless nights
To the taco bites
The world just stopped

From the whistles blowing
To all things unknowing
The world just stopped

From we being there
To all of us just care
The world just stopped

From honouring the friend
To remain there till the end
The world just stopped

From the broad big yawn
To my breath closing till dawn
The world just stopped

From the delayed breath
To the sure footed death
The world just stopped

It all stopped between our eyes
Pretending everything nice
Now just one question in mind
Till how long are these lies?

I still long for an escape
From those unwinding rapes
Laws are made , Acts are passed
But of no use only women are harassed

To extremes no one understands
That we are the reason for you on this land
Everyday articles are seen
Of this world so mean

Tears drip over and over my eyes

Still in a thought for an escape

Consoling people I passed my whole life
And then get a hope to survive

My twisted soul going insane
Emptiness ablazes in each of my vein
For my coward death to arrive

RAPE: Being the fourth most common committed crime in India which has kept on increasing since 2012.

Well known quote “A girl is far more responsible for a rape than a boy.”

Is that so?
Well , being a citizen of a democratic country I pursue a right to speak on this topic freely.But to many this is still a topic to be ashamed of.

Why should just women bear all the discrimination…all the one-sidedness…all the unlawfull practises….?

Being a part of the 21st century, I question you that is a women really getting what she deserves?

Is she really able to do what all men are doing from long without any hesitation?

Does the term “#feminism” really exists?

Or is that all just nuncupative?

I leave that question on you!

COVID – 19 is not isolating people but is bringing down our relations and connecting the whole humanity.
It is strong but we are stronger.Some situations are beyond control and we often lose hope and discourage ourselves but it could worsen if we persist to go out.We can indeed revive and economy even after it being hit so badly but we cannot revive a corpse.
Let us all believe in ourselves , our abilities and our own potential.
Never let that self doubt hold you captive.You are worthy of what you think and what you do.

Choice is yours;
Live in peace or rest in peace.
Let us all stay home and stay safe
